My name is Ethan Southwick; If you’re someone who is considering applying to BYU-I, or you’re an incoming freshman wondering what to expect, this blog is for you.
My goal is to get you thinking about:
- places you can go to eat,
- fun things for quality-of-life amidst academics demands,
- and what faith and day-to-day life is like
so that you can make the most of your time at BYU-Idaho.
I created this blog for a class: Search Engine Optimization, as part of my Marketing Minor. Since I wanted a career as a writer, I figured a blog would be the obvious choice.
I don’t know if this blog will persist after the Winter 2026 Semester is over: and the time out of the semester I’m taking to get this website prepared might mean I’m only testing this website for a few weeks.
But even if I’m only working with this for a short while, I hope it’s helpful to someone, even if all I do is encourage someone to attend devotional and help them think about a cheap recipe and lunch joint they can go to sometimes.
